Story

New Year, New Pledge: Be an Animal Champion in your local area

Why not do something amazing and fundraise for us whilst achieving your 2023 resolution? We help rescue, rehabilitate and re-home hundreds of animals in our area and our veterinary bills alone exceed £100,000 each year. By raising money for us, you'll be directly helping the animals in our care. Fundraising can be a great way to involve friends and family in fighting against animal cruelty and neglect.

Research has shown that committing to a date can inspire you to work out an action plan, and having others hold you to account and support by sponsoring you can increase motivation to achieve the goal.

Whether this is an exercise plan, changes to your diet, cutting down on alcohol or giving up smoking, create a JustGiving page to outline your challenge, and start fundraising for local animals in need today.

Don't have a specific resolution in mind?

There are lots of ways to raise funds and awareness for us. If you needs some ideas then download our A-Z of fundraising ideas.

You can be sponsored for almost anything, whatever your age or fitness level there is a fundraising event for you! You could run, walk, cycle or swim. Take part in a sponsored silence, skydive or have your head shaved. Fundraise at school, work or at your club.

There's lots of great ways to raise funds such as non-uniform days, sports days, cake sales, quiz or curry nights for example. Keep an eye on our website or Facebook page to sign up to organised challenges later in the year.

Does your workplace offer corporate volunteer days or matched fundraising? Speak to your team or Human Resources about a group sponsored challenge - combine teambuilding activities with raising funds for a worthy cause.

Our fundraising team will support you with promotion of your sponsored challenge and RSPCA-branded apparel. Once you have set up your JustGiving page, please email 'fundraising@mkrspca.org.uk' and we will get in touch with you to discuss how we can help.
