Gables Farm Dogs and Cats Home have taken in a collie puppy and named him Miracle on 204th Street. He is only 7 months old and has fallen down some stairs breaking his front leg in two places. He is so thin that you can feel every bone in his body and despite being in so much pain he is such a sweet dog. His original owner could not afford the treatment he desperately needed and didnt have pet insurance to cover the cost. They also couldnt provide the aftercare he would need post-surgery. Gables have stepped in to care for this puppy and now need your help to help cover the cost of the specialist emergency surgery needed.
Although it is desperately close to Christmas this lovely puppy deserves a miracle and a bright future on four legs so if you can spare a few pounds you can make a big difference. It is estimated that it will cost Gables around £1200 for the specialist surgery and aftercare. Once his leg has healed and he has gained some weight he will also need to be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Deputy Manager, Ruth Rickard said We just want him to be our Christmas miracle and see him running around on all four legs, which is what young collies should be able to do. As we are a genuine non-euthanasia charity we will not give up on this wonderful puppy and with our supporters help we can give him the love and care he deserves.
