Story
In October 2022, 30 participants from around the world will gather in South Africa for an epic cycling challenging around the Western Cape. The team will pedal up to 100KM a day to raise vital funds for the women, children, adolescents, and families that mothers2mothers (m2m) Mentor Mothers serve.
The Western Cape boasts some of the most stunning views of the African continent, but more importantly its the founding home of m2m and continues to be at the heart of our innovationso this is a unique opportunity for our cyclists to explore a beautiful part of the world, while also getting under the surface of what makes the m2m model so special and impactful.
m2m was founded in 2001 in a single site on the Western Cape to reduce the transmission of HIV between mother and child. More than 20 years later, m2m has evolved to deliver integrated primary health care services to women, adolescents, children, and families across 10 sub-Saharan African countriesat health facilities, in community, and through eServices.
To date, m2m has reached almost 15 million people with critical health services, and created jobs for almost 12 thousand women living with HIV.
Please donate to Minutes for Mentor Mothers now to help us reach even more women, children, adolescents and families, so that we can continue to build healthier, fairer communities across Africa.
