Story
Imagine a large, green park with playgrounds where children and young people can feel safe and supported as they navigate the challenges of growing up. This is exactly what Coram's Fields offers to the local community, and the children and their parents who visit the park regularly appreciate it more than anyone else.
Recently, 60 children from City Junior School signed up to run TCS Mini London Marathon, which offers children the opportunity to run a portion of the world-famous London Marathon course a day before the big event.
It was only natural for the children to want to support their neighboring charity as part of the effort, which is Coram's Fields. Located just a short walk from their new school building at Gray's Inn Place, some of the children use the pitches at Coram's Fields for their weekly sports classes and enjoy the welcoming and safe environment of the children-only park and playgrounds.
The park now needs our support more than ever, with costs increasing and leaving its community heavily reliant on the free services and facilities provided by the charity. By supporting the run, you stand with us in creating equal opportunities for children and young people in our community, regardless of their background.
We invite you to join us by participating in our group fundraiser.
Every little runner is encouraged to raise £200 to help us reach our target of £12,000, which will allow Coram's Fields to continue providing free services such as sports sessions for children at risk of being involved in crime or anti-social behaviour, individual sports sessions for children with disabilities, and girls-only sessions to encourage their participation in community sports.
Mark your calendars for the 22nd of April and get ready to join us for a meaningful and memorable day of giving back. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those who need it most.
