Story

The Mindstep Relay will run non-stop from Friday 1st April 5pm - Sunday 3rd April 7pm, to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention.

Each team member will be given a 1-hour time slot to complete an activity of their choice (walk, run, dance etc.) before passing the virtual baton to the next volunteer!

We ask that each team member aims to raise £50 for Mindstep. You can sign up and join the relay here!

_________________________________________________________________________

The Mindstep Foundation has been established in memory of Max Davies, who tragically died by suicide in 2018. Mindstep funds postgraduate research at the University of Glasgow into the causes of suicide. Most recently, the charity has funded the largest UK study into the effect of the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns on mental health.

By funding research into the causes of suicide, and working to raise awareness of both the warning signs and consequences of mental health conditions going untreated, the Mindstep Foundation aims to break the stigma attached to admitting, confronting and dealing with mental health issues.
