Mind in Kingston is the local leader in mental health, providing support and services, influencing local mental health policy, and running campaigns to challenge stigma and discrimination in mental health.
We are delighted to work with Runthrough to raise vital funds for our charity to support our services with 50 places at the Hampton Court Marathon on the 24th of March 2024.
Firmly based in Kingston's vibrant community, our charity is led by and works closely with people with lived experience of mental health issues to develop, design, and deliver our services.
Based on local needs, our services range from physical activities like our football team Kingstonian Mind United, Art Therapy, supporting independent living through Floating Support, keeping people connected at our Drop-in Cafes, and partnership projects like the Youth Zone with Richmond Borough Mind.
By using our services, people maintain or improve their mental health, are less lonely or isolated, learn new skills, and most importantly, are less likely to need medical intervention.
Fundraising events, such as the Hampton Court Half Marathon, help us to raise vital funds to support our work. It means we can support more people and keep our services free.
this has not only changed my life but it has potentially saved it! (about Kingstonian Mind United Football Team)
I feel very relaxed when I’m doing the painting, and I actually forget about my mental health problems (about the Art Therapy service)
