Story
In Michigan, one in five children face hunger. The Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies and the Farm Bureau Agent Charitable Fund challenge you to support our mission to stop childhood hunger in Michigan.
In 2019, approximately 1.3 million Michiganders faced food insecurity, over 305,000 of which were children. Estimates show food insecurity increased to approximately 1.9 million people in Michigan, including 552,000 children in 2020. Even after the pandemic, the number of Michiganders facing food insecurity continues to grow and is especially prevalent in Michigans rural communities. Our organization is taking action through the Million Meal Challenge. This challenge is an opportunity for every person who is part of our Farm Bureau family to come together to support each other through uncertain times.
The Agent Charitable Fund and Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies will match donations dollar-for-dollar from our members, clients and supporters. Knowing every dollar equates to five meals, with your help, we can donate more than 1 million meals to Michigan families in need this fall. Michigan Farm Bureau members have provided healthy food to Michiganders for generations, and we will continue to feed Michigan families during this challenging time. Please consider supporting our efforts to end childhood hunger. Your gift of any size will help amplify our efforts to reduce food insecurity and fear for families facing hunger.
At Farm Bureau we are committed to supporting our agents, employees, insureds and members as they unite to create sustained community change while working towards our mission to end childhood hunger in Michigan.
