With several hundred military-connected students attending FHSU at a given time, we are looking for ways to improve their experience here. Students represent all the military branches, active-duty, veterans, reserves, and National Guard, there is a wide variety of educational and financial needs. Our donors have been so supportive in providing opportunities for our military-connected community and we hope they will continue that by supporting the Military and Veterans Scholarship.

The FHSU Transfer & Military Center, the FHSU Student Veterans Association, and the Military Focus Committee are working to fund and expand this scholarship to help more students than ever before. Our goal is to award several $250 scholarships each year. These scholarships will help bridge the gap between tuition assistance and GI Bill funds that they might be eligible for and the cost of attendance.

Our students live all over the world and are sometimes actively defending our country while working toward their degrees. They are parents, community leaders, coworkers, and are dedicated to mission and improvement all while completing their degrees. Whether they're a student on-campus or online, we want to ensure that every military-connected and veteran student, regardless of where they're stationed or live, is successful throughout their time at Fort Hays State.
