AJ Bell Great Bristol Run Half Marathon 2025 · 11 May 2025 ·
Staff at Milestones Trust are taking part in the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run 2025! We are joining together to raise money for our community projects, which enable people we support to access music and cycling.
Our runners will choose to run 10km or a half marathon on 11th May 2025.
Please donate to our fundraiser to support people with learning disabilities and mental health needs to lead fulfilling lives. Our individual fundraising pages are displayed on the right hand side of this campaign.
Milestones Trust is a registered charity supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex behavioural needs to live their best lives. We formed in 1986 and now operate 80 residential and supported living services across Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire.
We have four values that we adhere to in our work: we start with the individual, we bring people close, we take our creativity to work with us, and we are courageous in our approach.
As well as daily care, we run activities, day opportunities groups, and community projects to add value to the lives of people we support. We are raising money to support our community projects: Music Train and Warmley Wheelers.
Liz Gray set up the Music Train because she wanted her son, who has learning disabilities, to be able to access live music. Since the first Music Train session in 2013, she has facilitated over 500 events at various community venues across Bristol. The Music Train provides an inclusive space for the community to listen to and join in with our wonderful musicians. The concerts take place during the day so that people who find it difficult to attend concerts at night have the opportunity to enjoy some great live music.

Warmley Wheelers is an open access, all-inclusive cycling project supporting people with long-term health needs. Set up in 2014, we offer specialist equipment and a safe, friendly environment to support people who would normally find it difficult to ride a bike. Our site is based just off the Bristol to Bath railway path next to Warmley Waiting Room Café, so cyclists may make use of the public cycle path or our own woodland trails.
