Are you looking for a New Year challenge that helps the Surrey Hills International Music Festival and gets you fit as a fiddle for the summer?
Simply pledge to walk one hundred miles in March at your own pace and to suit your daily commitments.
Click on the orange “Start fundraising” button at the top right of this page. You will be guided through how to create your own JustGiving page.
If you are among the lucky first 20 people to register with the Festival, you will receive a free Miles for Music T-shirt; otherwise, you can purchase one. We will let you know shortly if you are among the first 20 to register!
Walk a few miles daily or mix it up with longer walks to reach your 100-mile goal. Ask friends, family, and colleagues to sponsor you, and the money you raise will help achieve the Miles for Music target of £5000.
I took on a similar challenge a few years ago, and it was fun. I walked with friends and on my own, and it was a fantastic way to watch the Spring unfold. Think spring flowers and the glorious notes of songbirds!
It’s a great way to help raise funds for the Festival’s world-class live performances and the various charitable projects we run. With your help, the Festival can continue to plan up to three years ahead with outstanding concerts that will delight you and future generations of music lovers whilst also providing professional music teaching in local state Primary Schools, performance platforms for gifted music graduates and producing the Surrey Hills Young Composer Competition.
Full instructions are provided on the dedicated FAQs page here. Or you may download them here.
We’d love to hear about your progress, so please also pop the odd post on our Facebook event page HERE.
Come on, you can do it! Here’s to 2025, and many, many thanks for your support.
