Story
Our vision is for every missing child and adult, and every loved one left behind, to find help, hope and a safe way to reconnect.
Missing People will be 30 years old in 2023. The organisation started following the disappearance of Suzy Lamplugh.
Suzys disappearance marked a turning point. Through great tragedy comes great acts of kindness. The outpouring of support for Suzy was extraordinary. People searched. They retained hope
Back then, no support services existed for families, or for missing people themselves.
Thankfully, Jade found Missing People.
I rang their free Helpline and the loveliest woman answered. They helped me build the courage to contact the police with them. That call found me, and it saved me.
Since that phone call with our trained Helpline staff member, Jades life has completely turned around for the better. You can find out more about Jade's story in the here and the video below.
170,000 people are reported missing every year, and we want your fundraising efforts to mean something for each one of those people. We're encouraging participants to get involved, share your fundraising stories, and help us exceed our target of £30,000 for our 30th Anniversary.
We are the only charity lifeline for anyone affected by a person going missing.
Whether it's running, walking, cycling, or swimming, lets clock up these miles 'together' for the families that need our support.
Our vision is for every missing child and adult, and every loved one left behind, to find help, hope and a safe way to reconnect.
Will you help us to achieve this?
