Story
COVID-19 is having a major impact on people's mental wellbeing - in our local community, we are seeing people experiencing grief, trauma, anxiety, loneliness and isolation. Working from home is causing stress, and adding pressure to relationships.
At Mind in Kingston, we have adapted our services during the COVID-19 pandemic so they can be accessed by email, online, by phone and by video. This ensures continuity of service, and is a lifeline to those people who depend on our charity for vital support and for human connection.
We are asking you for your help so we can continue this essential work.
We are delivering kits to people at home including art, physical activity and self-care kits, and we are working with experts to deliver sessions that reduce isolation, improve self-confidence and self-esteem, elevate people's mood and keep people connected. In addition, we want to offer more counselling slots, dedicated telephone support and wellbeing courses that will help people to cope better and improve their resilience.
You can help by making a donation and support our work. Thank you.
