Story
As part of our school's ambitious plan to upgrade the school field, Mickleton PTFA is raising funds for new play equipment. The current play trail has become worn down. It needs replacing. It's expected to be condemned at its next health and safety inspection and is only useable thanks to the incredible efforts of our school caretaker, Mr Barnes.
Our vision is to create a space which can be used for both play and teaching outdoors. Your gift will mean we can install a play trail where the children can gather with their friends and develop physical skills such as balancing and climbing.
Our target for this appeal is £20,000 and thanks to the incredible generosity of the J M Dixon Charity and the Nisa Making a Difference Locally charity through our local shopkeeper, Harj Dhasee, we've already reached £7,700. Now we're asking you to help us reach this goal. Your gift will help create a wonderful area for outdoor education, play and socialising that will make a difference to all children at the school for years to come.
Work on the play trail will start this Autumn, so the deadline to fund the play equipment is Friday 22 October. We urgently need your support.
The play trail is a firm favourite and we would hate for it to be removed without being replaced. Investing in a major project like this falls outside our standard budgets and will be impossible without the help of our PTFA and local community. - Head teacher Tom Roberts.
Please help fund a new play trail that will make a difference to children at the school for years to come.
£350, just 35 £10 donations, would cover installation costs for one piece of equipment
£2,500 would buy a play house to help develop pupils' imaginative play
£5,500 would purchase safety flooring for the play area
£8,000 would fund play trail equipment for children to have fun climbing and balancing on
£20,000 would fund the entire project, providing pupils with a fantastic place to play
Thank you so much for your support.
