Story
We are incredibly excited for the installation of two state of the art cricket nets at Mill Hill Village. The practice facility will be of invaluable use for all of our members, aiding our Friday evening Junior practice and enabling evening nets sessions for our adults. This installation represents a key step as we aim to ensure the Club can provide high quality practice and playing facilities for years to come.
The Club has been crying out for practice nets for many years, but until now it had not been deemed possible. The area required for a nets installation was expected to require the loss of a cricket or football pitch, however with a little ingenuity, an area has been found next to the Clubhouse that ticks all the boxes. From then on, it has been a case of drawing up plans, approaching installation companies, applying for grants and seeking planning permission. We have finally been given the green light and the build is expected to take place later this summer. We can't wait!
As you can imagine, installing state of the art practice facilities is not a cheap endeavour, with total costs exceeding £40,000. While we have covered over half of this through grants, we still have a long way to go. Therefore we would be immensely grateful if you could make a contribution.
Looking forward to seeing you using the nets facilities very soon.
