My Daughter who has Downs Syndrome, Autism and Severe special needs and has been part of the part of White Lodge Family since she was a baby.

White Lodge provides an amazing service to the Special Needs network in Surrey and always needs funds to keep their vital service running. Whether it be, Holiday Schemes, Weekend Care, Specialist facilities, and a place where the SEN adults can make friends and socialise. It really is a lifeline.

Parents really rely on Schemes they provide as all of the children need specialist care. They can't access mainstream holiday clubs, so they are vital to working parents and also rest bite and weekend care.

Being a special needs parent is immensely challenging, and having siblings who often get overlooked. My daughter is mentally around 18 months so it makes going out as a family impossible due to her melt downs, this can be at home, shop, in a car park, anywhere. It usually is due to something trivial to us, like the wrong amount of toothpaste has been put on the toothbrush. The smells or Cooking, Exhaust Fumes, too much noise...

The Joy on her face when she does have a day at White Lodge is priceless, although trying to get her to leave also has its own challenges!

I know as a parent she will be well looked after, and have an amazing day playing or going out for the day.

That is why White Lodge is such a God send to enable me and other special needs family, to spend time with her Brothers and create memories.

There are so many people in our position without a support network that heavily rely on White Lodge.

The number of spaces available has reduced significantly due to Government cuts, so they are even more heavily reliant on their fundraising team to keep this vital charity providing support. We really needed your support to raise funds for this amazing charity and to create lasting childhood memories for all the disabled children and families of White Lodge.
