PLEASE HELP US TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED
As a result of COVID-19 many of the people the McCabe Educational Trust (MET) regularly supports are in crisis. Due to the current travel restrictions there are no pilgrims travelling and so we cannot make the regular donations we normally collect. Please donate today so that we can send money from the MET to help meet the needs of our friends in the Holy Land, India and Nepal. Together we can help them face the challenges of this current crisis.
We started an appeal on 14 March for the Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR) and you have helped us raise £50,000 - thank you!
BASR is a Christian hospital and long term partner of the MET located in the centre of the COVID-19 outbreak in Bethlehem. Your generous contributions have gone towards purchasing highly needed consumables, infection control materials, tools and equipment, as well as medicines and laboratory kits - all used in the isolation department and to maintain the infection control measures in all BASR departments.
Edmund Shehadeh, the Director of BASR writes:
"Dear Friends at the McCabe Educational Trust, I hope my message finds you all in good health.
Allow me first to thank you, for your tremendous support and generous donations, which you have gathered for BASR during this emergency.
We are very proud of our partnership and very thankful for your joint efforts to prepare an appeal for us, and work hard to help us amidst this difficult time.
A tremendous thank you for all your support and we hope that we will welcome you soon at BASR once the ordeal is over."
