The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileToo many men are struggling with their mental health in silence. Too ashamed, self-conscious or embarrassed to reach out, they try to work things out on their own, driven by the fear of being a burden to others.
Which is why, launching on Father’s Day, we want to focus on the men in our lives: Dads, Grandparents, Sons, Brothers, Uncles, pastors, leaders, colleagues, friends.
*All donations doubled! Thanks to a generous supporter, each pound will be matched. £10 donated becomes £20 to Mercy, £50 becomes £100!!*
The statistics around this issue are heartbreaking and highlights how urgent the situation is:
- Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under the age of 50 in UK 4 in 10 men have NEVER spoken to someone about their mental health
- 40% of men say it’d take self-harm or suicidal thoughts for them to seek professional help
- Two of the leading reasons men don’t talk are ‘I don’t wish to be a burden’ and ‘I’m too embarrassed’
Will you join us in saying to all the men out there who are struggling:
Groups and individuals all over the country will be raising £20k to provide 400 hours of free counselling for Men as they journey through the Freedom Course.
This is the equivalent of providing free counselling to 25 men going through the Freedom Course.
Thank you for playing your part in helping men find Christ-centred support and fresh hope.
