Story
Made of Copper Alloy
There's no denying it were a planet of pet lovers! This medieval object, probably a candle holder shaped as a dog was discovered during excavations in the late 1980s, when the shopping centre Castle Quarter was being built next to Norwich Castle. It is made of a copper alloy, with its body and legs shaped from a cast sheet giving it a hollow underside. What it lacks with its missing front left leg, it certainly makes up for with that happy tail!
Whether you're a veteran dog owner, or perhaps looking to become parent to a proud pooch, why not adopt this little one for yourself or a like-minded loved one? What better way to show your appreciation to man and women's best friend?
