We're all shocked by events unfolding in Ukraine. Many Mancunians have even offered places in their homes to welcome evacuees here. But thousands of us also want to do something to show Manchester stands with Ukraine.

We Love MCR Charity is partnering with Manchester City Council, which has unrivalled connections across the city. All your generous gifts will be shared with charities and community groups with huge experience of supporting refugees and Ukrainian communities on the ground in Manchester. There will be no delays in setting up new organisations. These groups include Europia and Caritas Diocese of Salford, with further Partners being recruited now. They're using their wealth of experience to support Ukrainians being welcomed into Mancunians' homes.

This crisis stems from the horrors unfolding in Ukraine since 24th February 2022. People have fled across a continent, often with just the clothes they're wearing and the memories and traumas of leaving behind their relatives and their homeland. There are urgent needs to be met - eg with practical advice, hardship relief and mental health support. Your gift will be used immediately, to offer the warmest possible welcome to our guests from Ukraine. When this is finally over, our guests will remember your generosity. Thank you.
