Story
Newton Abbot and District Fundraising Group cover the largest area of any of our groups in Devon, from Dawlish up to Chagford.
The group meet regularly to discuss opportunities for fundraising and raising awareness of local services, are continuing to grow in numbers, and have raised over £130,000 since forming.
They enjoy organising collections, holding events and helping people fundraise in the area, working with clubs, schools, associations, shops and corporates. They recently walked 13 tors on Dartmoor to raise money for Marie Curie, and are looking forward to being back out in the community, and perhaps meeting for a cream tea and a walk in the summer/autumn.

Since 2011, Marie Curie has set up Fundraising Groups across the UK to help raise money and awareness for the charity in their local area. They are a vital part of the Marie Curie family, raising a fantastic amount each year to help ensure we can keep supporting people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones. This is through our wide range of services including hospices, nursing, Information and Support services and research.
