Our Irish Methodist family has been shocked to see the violent invasion of Ukraine and the heart-breaking plight of its people. We have been advised by those responding on the ground, that financial support is currently the priority.

Story

Your donations will enable the Methodist Church in Ireland's sister churches to continue responding to refugee needs.

Funds can also be channelled to meet needs within Ukraine itself. This financial support will be sent through MCIs sister churches in the region.

Many Ukrainians quickly fled to Poland and the church began responding immediately. £27,500 (€32,900) has been sent to the United Methodist Church in Poland to support their work with Ukrainian refugees. This sum was made up of £25,000 (€29,900) from World Development & Relief, for food, clothing and shelter, and the further £2,500 (€2,900) was donated by World Mission Partnership to be used specifically for pastoral care.
