Story
The Cardiff Central Fundraising Group formed in 2012 and has since gone on to raise over £330,000! As a group we get involved with all things Marie Curie, from raising awareness of the vital services in our local communities, holding different fundraising events to organising the Great Daffodil Appeal collections across the city. We are always up for new ideas and challenges!
What I love most about being part of the group is that we all have something in common with one another, we have lost a loved one at some time in our lives and we all want to give back to Marie Curie which I think is wonderful. We have a diverse range in age; we offer each other support, comfort and a long lasting friendship with one another. I feel proud to support Marie Curie and to have made such wonderful friends is amazing!
Sarah, Cardiff Central Fundraising Group Member.
Since 2011, Marie Curie has set up Fundraising Groups across the UK to help raise money and awareness for the charity in their local area. They are a vital part of the Marie Curie family, raising a fantastic amount each year to help ensure we can keep supporting people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones. This is through our wide range of services including hospices, nursing, Information and Support services and research.
