Story

The Master Cutlers Challenge was first launched in 2008 and has become one of the largest annual fundraising events in the region. Over the years, the Challenge has inspired companies, organisations, schools and individuals to raise in excess of half a million pounds for local causes.

This year the challenge is led by Master Cutler, James Tear of The Solpro Group and he has been a member of the Company of Cutlers for over 17 years. Cavendish Cancer Care are thrilled to have been chosen as the beneficiary charity for the challenge this year.

By supporting Cavendish through the Master Cutler's Challenge, you are helping us provide free of charge packages of care to local families affected by cancer. Raising just £27 will fund an hour of therapy for a mum like Julie, who is wondering how to support her children whilst undergoing treatment.

I began to notice a difference in both the children. They were calmer; Id learned new ways to support them, and not demand too much of them. The therapy helped them understand what was happening, and why Mummy wasnt up for doing the usual activities for a while.
