Sarah lost her dad to mouth cancer and has shared her story with us to show how mouth cancer diagnosis affects the whole family.
Mouth cancer wrecked my dads body and left him in a bad way. I have no doubt that if my dad had got his ulcer checked out sooner, then both his quality of life and chances of survival would have been much better.
Its such a shame that my dad waited as long as he did to get his ulcer checked out. He probably thought it would just go away on his own, little did he know that for every day he left it his prognosis was getting worse and worse.
Sarah's story is far from unique. Mouth cancer affects thousands of people every year.
Paul Roebuck was a psychotherapist who was diagnosed with mouth cancer and would need to have part of his tongue removed.
