Story
I'm Logan, a 22-year old, Degree Apprentice studying Quantity Surveying at BCU, and I will be attempting to climb Switzerland's Matterhorn, one of the most iconic and dangerous mountains in the world to raise awareness and money for mental health in construction.
Construction suffers from elevated levels of poor mental health and tragically suicide and I hope to help shine a light on the issues and get people talking. This is an issue that I resonate strongly with, as I have suffered with poor mental health and know what it is like to feel isolated.
I am climbing in support of Get Construction Talking. Mates in Mind is collecting donations on behalf of Get Construction Talking, a global construction mental health awareness initiative founded by Fred Mills, The B1M and Procore. The money raised will be split between the charities officially supporting this international campaign and directly help to provide better mental health support for the construction sector. These are: Mates in Mind, CIASP, Lighthouse, MATES in Construction and Construction Sport.
