Story
At the Lancashire Women's and Newborn Centre, we provide dedicated, tranquil rooms within our maternity unit where families can spend precious time with their baby in a comforting, home-like environment. We also offer meaningful items that help families create lasting memories as they face one of life’s most unimaginable moments.
Your generous donations ensure that we can continue to provide this vital service, helping families make cherished memories with their babies while navigating their grief. Though we can't take away the pain, compassionate care can be a source of strength and comfort during this devastating time.
We are deeply committed to continually improving our service, offering even more support to families who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or baby. Every contribution goes directly toward enhancing the care and resources available for those in need.
Nicola Galloway, our Specialist Bereavement Midwife, shared:
"The impact of having a warm, homely space for our families is profound. These rooms allow families experiencing pregnancy loss or stillbirth to stay together, make memories, and receive the support they need."
Nicola and Stephanie, two fearless colleagues from the Lancashire Women’s and Newborn Centre, are taking on an extraordinary challenge to raise funds for bereaved families. In October 2024, they’ll be jumping from the iconic Stratosphere in Las Vegas, plunging 829 feet above the dazzling lights of the Vegas Strip! This isn’t just any jump – it’s a Guinness World Record-holding SkyJump, the highest commercial decelerator descent in the world!
