"When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity, or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the deceased)."
[Sahih Muslim 1631] - Prophet Muhammad
During the early hours of Friday morning, two beloved brothers lost their lives, two fathers/mothers lost their child, siblings lost their brothers and uncles/aunties lost their nephews. At a mere age of only 20 and 21, both of them left this temporary abode forever. Life can be so unpredictable and death does not look at your age / status. The Quran states death will overtake you wherever you may be [4:78]. Today they leave behind only their memories and now prepare for their second lives.
The best way for us to bring benefit to both of these brothers is through recurring Sadaqa. We have decided to build a Masjid on behalf of both of them. The Masjid will also include an Education centre which will be a means of spreading Islamic knowledge through many generations to come
If there is any difference we can make, it is through dua's and actions. Every little helps and will go a long way in us getting the Masjid started. We pray that Allah (swt) grants both brothers the highest abode in Jannah and grants patience and perseverance to both families during these difficult and testing times.
As always with Al Medina 313, we will be sharing pictures and videos as soon as the building is underway.
