Story
Welcome to the Flock!
At Martlets we are reminded every day that life is precious, and we understand how important it is to make special memories with those we care about.
The learners programme is fantastic opportunity to bring our baa-rilliant community together. This incredible collaboration provides everyone taking part a boost after the pandemic stopped community projects like this from taking place, providing cross-curricular work in a ewe-nique creative and fun learning opportunity for all involved.
Young people will get the chance to expand their imaginations as Shaun and the flock offer a fresh creative outlet for them to get inspired by, whilst promoting wellbeing. Schools will be able to collaborate with Martlets and introduce their pupils to the work that the charity does, demystifying the subject of death dying and bereavement. Our aim is that this programme will mean that everyone involved will have lots of fun, whilst raising vital support for a local charity.
Every year Martlets supports over 3,000 people affected by terminal illness in and around Brighton & Hove. Our expert teams help people do the things they love with the time that they have.
As a local charity, our care is only free thanks to the support of local people, businesses, and trusts. An NHS grant covers a portion of our costs, but we rely on ewe our community, to fund most of our vital services.
How does the flock-fund make a difference?
Were only able to provide free life-changing hospice care thanks to the generosity and hard work of people like you.
