"As you may know, the City of Marlette along with the Marlette Park board have proudly been able to operate Its community park and pool for over 50 plus years. We view our park and pool as one of the greatest "Quality of life" assets we have to offer residents and out of town visitors.

The continued goal of Marlette City Council and the Park Board is to continue to provide these recreational activities in the future. The cost of operating a seasonal pool and being able to provide safe and age friendly play equipment/structures comes with a large financial commitment.

We know that many of you reading this letter spent time yourselves playing in the park and swimming in the pool each summer while growing up. Even as adults, it is fun to reflect on those happy memories. The emphasis of this endeavor is to be able to give future generations the same opportunity to share in those fun, happy, forever memories.

Your gift will help us make appropriate safety improvements to both the pool house and the park equipment. The pool house is in poor condition and is at risk of not passing inspection along with park equipment improvements. The committee is looking to acquire new play structures that offer various age-appropriate and ADA compliant pieces. The infrastructure needing immediate attention is the replacement of pool house. All the funds donated will be used specifically for park and pool improvement projects.
