Story

We’re so deeply upset to announce that two of our elephant sculptures, ‘Tamworth Pigs’ and 'Vince' have been damaged, and we’ve had no choice but to remove both of them from the trail. At this stage, we’re all truly lost for words.

March of the Elephants was launched just yesterday (Monday 1st July) and whilst we’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support the trail has received so far, we’re really heartbroken that the actions of the few could ruin it for the many.

We’ve worked so hard, along with our amazing artists, sponsors, schools, and community groups, to bring our beautiful elephants to Lichfield, Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield, so we’re urging everyone in our community to help us keep our herd safe. Our elephants are works of art, to be admired but not climbed on. Please, please keep an eye on our lovely ellies – and if you spot any damage, call our Herd Helpline on 01543 434027.

As well as bringing smiles and joy to everyone who encounters them, our sculptures will also be auctioned off, starting from £3,000 each, at the end of the trail to help raise vital funds for St Giles Hospice, and help us continue to care for local people, and their loved ones, living with a terminal illness.
