The costs for a family dealing with a chronically-ill loved one go far beyond physician co-pays and prescription medications. These patients are often struggling to pay for travel expenses to frequent doctor visits, and unexpected, yet necessary, medical equipment not covered by their insurance. Patients should never have to forego an appointment because they cannot afford the costs associated with traveling to a physician's office or be embarrassed that they can't purchase needed supplies.
