Working to make our Valley bloom

The Civic Pride Rossendale volunteers work in areas in the Rossendale Valley - Rawtenstall, Waterfoot, Crawshawbooth and Edenfield - picking litter and maintaining community gardens.

The Civic Pride Rossendale volunteers aim to make the towns in the valley tidy and colourful places all year round for all those who live here, work in the area or are visitors. We have adopted community spaces and gardens, often previously neglected and either barren or overgrown, and changed them into bright places full of colour by planting perennials, shrubs and bedding plants.
We are encouraging greater diversity by planting perennials and pollinators, and by creating wildlife friendly spaces. We have installed bird and bat boxes, and made log piles for insects and woodland creatures.
We make our own compost and collect rainwater wherever possible.
Many of our volunteers also go out, in all weathers, picking litter and weeding footpaths.
Please donate so that we can continue with this work.
