Story
At Maine Adaptive we believe that having access to and participating in recreational sports is integral to a well-rounded life for every person. Founded in 1982, Maine Adaptive is now the largest year-round adaptive recreation program in the state of Maine for adults and children with disabilities. Over 400 volunteers assist individuals in appreciating the joys and challenges of recreation.
Each summer, our team crisscrosses the state to offer paddling, cycling, tennis, pickle ball, golf, and mountain biking. The summer sports challenge is your invitation to join our programming throughout the season. Whether as a volunteer, a supporter, or an advocate, there are many ways to take part in what we do. Your support is invaluable. Which sport speaks to you?
