The Sarwar Foundation is working with Magic Breakfast to ensure that every child is nourished, settled and ready to learn at the start of the school day, improving educational outcomes for the most disadvantaged children as well as the whole school community.

We know that hunger impacts children's ability to learn, and that the spread of COVID-19 has exacerbated this problem, with even more families being forced into poverty and food insecurity.

It is therefore more important than ever to focus on providing disadvantaged children with the fuel they need to reach their full potential and thrive in school.

Magic Breakfast works with 39 Scottish schools, with 3,939 children eating a Magic Breakfast on average every school day.

The Sarwar Foundation would like to support and build on these projects, and will be directly providing free breakfasts to 19 schools and providing additional support to 23 schools in Scotland in 2021.
