Story

We are proud that, once again, the organisers of the Madehurst 10k have chosen Dementia Support as their Charity of the Year to support.

This race boasts stunning views as runners get to experience the undulating tracks, trails and roads around the picturesque village of Madehurst, nestling in the heart of the South Downs near Arundel. Much of the route is on private land and it is a rare opportunity to run this stunning and scenic route.

Founded in 2014, Dementia Support is a young, unique charity based near Chichester, that provides complete dementia services in one community-based hub, known as Sage House. The first of its kind in the UK, Sage House opened in 2018 and provides a full range of accessible dementia services including Wayfinding advice and emotional support, NHS Dementia Assessment, wellbeing activities, Day Breaks respite care, personal care including assisted bathing and dementia friendly hairdressing, Smart Zone technology area for independent living, and an accessible Community Café. We really appreciate you taking part in the race and raising funds for Dementia Support.
