Story
Since its first donation in early 2013, the Mace Foundation and Mace people have donated over £7.7 million to 450 charities around the world. In 2022, the Mace Foundation celebrated its 10th birthday and has committed to donating a further 6 million to local charities by 2026.
This year we are kickstarting this pledge to donate more, by organising a skydive for a group of brave Mace people who will jump 12,000ft out of a plane to raise funds for the Mace Foundation. The skydive is taking place on 8th June at North London Skydive Centre.
The funds raised by the team will support the Mace Foundations charitable activities which includes supporting our charity partner; St Mungo's, the Foundations match funding programme which helps hundreds of charities around the world, as well as our new grant giving programme which launched January 2023.
At St Mungo's, they know that it takes more than a roof over someone's head to end homelessness. While sleeping rough is the most visible form of homelessness, the causes and consequences of having nowhere stable to live are often much more complicated. Thats why they've developed a recovery-based approach for their clients, focusing on addressing the issues a person faces to help them move on with their lives.
The funds raised as part of our partnership will support St Mungo's Westminster Street Outreach Support team to help reduce the number of people rough sleeping in the UK, and to support a sustained recovery through their construction skills training and employment programme.
