Every morning, more than 300,000 (1 in 5) children in North Texas wake up to an empty tummy as a reminder of not knowing where their next meal will come from. They go to school hungry and worried instead of alert and ready to learn.

The NTFB Letter Writing Campaign (LWC) raises funds to help eliminate childhood hunger across North Texas through NTFB's Feeding Children Initiatives, including:

Food 4 Kids provides backpacks full of nutritious, nonperishable, kid-friendly food. As many as 11,000 backpacks are distributed weekly to students at more than 350 schools.

School Pantry Program provides an abundance of fresh produce and nonperishable items right on campus at local schools.

This year, the LWC's goal is to raise $515,000 by December 31, 2020 in order to provide over 1.5 million nutritious meals to children across NTFB's 13-county service area. With your help, we will make an immediate positive impact on hungry kids all across North Texas.
