Lutonkind-Kids is a free resource for children of all ages who are living in poverty in Luton. We have high levels of child poverty here and we want all children to thrive, so we try to help as many as we can with good quality donated items such as clothing, shoes, bedding, toys and essential equipment.

Recently we have been able to give...

* clothes, shoes & toys to two families who had escaped domestic violence

* a pushchair to a mum who had been carrying her 2yr old everywhere

* a cot-bed & bedding to a 1yr old unsafe in her baby crib

* toys to newly arrived Ukrainian siblings

* spinning & musical toys to a girl with severe disabilities

* sensory toys to two brothers on the autistic spectrum

We are part of a small charity with limited resources, but we have fantastic volunteers who want to do more. To continue our project we need funds to cover running costs, buy new kids underwear, and help families get to us on the bus. £12 will buy a full set of new underwear for a child escaping a violent family situation; £10 buys a buggy rain cover to protect a baby or toddler out in the elements; £4 enables a parent to bring a toddler to us on the bus to be fitted for shoes, and to choose toys and clothes.
