Story
How do you define a hero? Is it someone who dons a cape and saves the planet? Maybe it is someone like a doctor or nurse or other healthcare worker who save lives every day. Of course our first responders and current and past members of the military are heroes who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.
Here at the Lupus Foundation of America, Heartland Chapter our heroes are people living with lupus who struggle every day to live with this mysterious and confusing autoimmune disease.
We consider our donors to be our Circle of Heroes. Individuals and corporations who give generously to build a circle of caring and support around people with lupus so they know they are not alone.
Donors who understand that lupus is a life-long disease with no known cause or cure.
Donors who are committed to investing in research that will lead to better treatments and one day, a cure for lupus.
Donors who know that people with lupus have wide-ranging needs and that the Lupus Foundation of America has the unmatched ability to meet these needs. Read our Case for Support to learn more.
Our Circle of Heroes are an exclusive group of donors who are committed to building a circle of understanding, support, hope, and validation around people living with lupus and investing in lupus research.
We hope you will consider joining our Circle of Heroes by making a tax deductible gift of $500 or more. If you donate by December 31, 2020 we will send you a limited edition Lupus Foundation of America Facemask while supplies last.
