Story

Luke has signed up to complete the daunting 80km Wicklow Eco Trail to be run on the 28th of September!

This is a massive challenge to undertake, not only the distance to be run but being a mountain course, it involves a total climb of over 2445 metres.

The race starts and finishes in the coastal town of Bray, just south of Dublin.

Competitors will start the race at 7.30 in the morning and finish over 12 hours later as dusk begins to descend.

Luke was diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma in November 2023. The Sarcoma had developed in Luke’s wrist and in January 2024 he had surgery to amputate part of his lower right arm.

Luke is 29 years old and he first became aware of a lump in the wrist of his right hand during Covid lockdown. It was a discomfort rather than causing pain. Last summer he decided to get fit and resumed boxing training. This lead to him visiting a physio and being referred to hospital where he was shockingly diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma.

Luke has set a super ambitious target, to raise £20,000 to help fund Clear Cell Sarcoma Research. Please help Luke achieve his goal by donating on the link
