Story
We are being asked to fly more children than ever before. After a period of 4 extraordinary busy months, we are still experiencing a huge increase in the demand for our service. In April 2019 alone we have been asked to help as many children as we did during the first 7 months of last year. This increase in demand is difficult for the Charity to sustain and we are at risk of having to say no to the next family who needs us.
Please help our charity fulfil its mission to fly ALL the children in need of our help.
Our service
Lucy Air Ambulance for Children is a national charity that flies children between hospitals across the UK. We help to transfer children for a variety of reasons including to receive specialist care, diagnostic tests, specialist surgery (including organ transplants) and end of life care.
Transferring Jacob from a hospice to his new adapted home meant he could have a fresh start with his family whilst receiving palliative care.
Our unique incubator enabled Otis to fly home - even though he was extremely fragile, born four months early.
Transferring Abigail to a specialist hospital for spinal surgery has strengthened her neck and given her the ability to walk.
On average each flight costs £7,500 so we need donations to help our charity cope with this unprecedented demand for our service and help us continue to reach every child who needs us. All funds will go directly towards funding flights.
If you are unable to donate, please share this page with your friends and family. Any help in spreading the word is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for making an incredible contribution to our work!
