Story
We're incredibly grateful to our incredible supporters who are taking on the Rob Burrow CBE Leeds Marathon or Leeds Half Marathon on 11th May in support of Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
In 2025, all funds raised will support the Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s programmes for individuals with disabilities and health conditions, creating opportunities for those who may not have had access to sport before.
These initiatives provide vital opportunities, such as offering social support for people with dementia, creating physical activity programmes for adults with Parkinson’s and enabling children and young adults with profound disabilities to engage in sports and explore employment opportunities.
Please support our fantastic runners as much as you are able to!
I am delighted to accept the role of Team Captain for the 2025 Leeds Rhinos Foundation fundraisers who are running for the Leeds Rhinos Foundation in either the Rob Burrow CBE Marathon or the Leeds Half Marathon on 11th May 2025.
The foundation does amazing work in Leeds and the wider region, this year the runners will be raising much needed funds to deliver more projects, and assistance, for those people living with serious health conditions and/or disabilities.
I will be running on the day and I very much look forward to meeting this amazing team on their journey to the start line.
All the best with your training, staff at the Foundation will offer you great assistance, and also with your fundraising for such a worthy cause

Leeds Rhinos Foundation
The Leeds Rhinos Foundation is a registered charity, affiliated with the Leeds Rhinos Rugby League organisation. Our work focuses on using the power of sport to make a positive and lasting impact in the local community.
As a foundation we believe, the power of sport is more than just participation. It’s how we engage those who wouldn’t see themselves as a sportsperson.
This objective is at the centre of what we do, as a foundation we work hard to tackle some of the most challenging issues in our society including health inequalities, social deprivation, criminality, isolation, exclusion, and hate. The foundation aims to provide inspiration and positivity for members of our communities - both young and old, newcomers, the isolated, those lacking in confidence, those at risk of offending, and those most often ignored.
We are ambitious to do even more to change lives through the power of sport to impact the lives of more people, particularly across areas such as health and wellbeing, education and employment, crime and violence, and other social challenges, not least for those who face the most challenges.
We deliver our purpose by focusing on our values:
- Trust. We aspire to be trusted by everyone we work with to deliver excellence.
- Enjoyment. We look to create a positive environment to inspire everyone we work with.
- Progressive. We are forward-thinking and innovative.
- Inclusive. We treat everyone fairly, and with dignity and do not discriminate.
