Story
Update (April 24): Work is progressing well and the church is looking to reopen in June 24. We are so close to the final amount needed to raise and we are so grateful for all those who have donated to make this possible.
We will be putting up a third thankyou banner outside the church with any donations received over the next two months. If you would like your surname or 'in memory of...' to be included in the banner please include the information in your donation.
UPDATE (Dec 23): WE ARE ABLE TO START WORK IN JANUARY!!!!
THANKYOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED
in 30 days we have raised over £5,000 online and over £60,000 through direct giving. Also the contractors have been able to give a sizeable reduction of the project, lowering the total cost from £453,000 to £427,388. This all means we are now able to start work in January.
It also means we can add in the top tile finish and see the whole project completed at the same time.
Though we are able to start work there is still still £15,000 to be raised before Jan 2025 when the final bill will need to be paid.
Project:
We know the amazing opportunities that will come from having a functioning, safe, warm and accessible building, so now we are asking for your help.
Together, we have raised an incredible £300,000. Due to price inflation we now have to raise an additional £105,000 to make the project come true.
We have already been promised £35,489 and a generous loan of £50,000 means we have a remaining total of £19,644 that needs to be raised by the end of December.
Any donation will help make this a reality. Please give whatever you can big or small.
Any donation will receive a wooden block floor tile (once building work starts) and your name will be added to the board of thanks for supporting this project.
