Thanks to this phenomenal response we can continue to provide exemplary care to our animals at Jersey Zoo and support our global conservation programs, to create a future where wildlife can thrive.

We may have opened our gates but we are facing an uncertain future.

With an 80% reduction in income, we urgently need your help to ensure we can endure this crisis.

Jersey Zoo is the heartbeat of Durrell, and without it, the charity cannot survive.

It costs £4,273 per day to look after the 1,285 animals at Jersey Zoo.

We have cut costs wherever we can but will not compromise on the exemplary care that we give to our animals.

Our work and mission is in jeopardy.

We desperately need your help to continue caring for our animals, saving endangered species and reviving natural landscapes.

As a charity, we rely entirely on support from members, visitors and donors to look after our animals at Jersey Zoo and to continue our vital conservation work protecting precious ecosystems and threatened wildlife.

Although we now have visitors back at our zoo, we still face an insecure tomorrow. With the gates closed for nearly two months, as well as the closure of our charity shop, cancellation of events and no tourists visiting the island, these challenging times continue to devastate our income.

We have been blown away by our wonderful supporters getting in touch to ask how they can help and we are so grateful to our loyal members and those who have generously donated to our Love Your Zoo appeal. However, we still need to do more; our work and our mission are in jeopardy.
