The London Walk 2025
500 people, 3 distances, one reason – to end homelessness in London.
500 people, 3 distances, one reason – to end homelessness in London.
On the evening of Friday 14th March 2025 we are taking part in the London Walk, organised by our friends the London Homeless Collective. This walk brings charities working in homelessness in the city together to walk as one. Every step powering the journey towards brighter tomorrows.
For over 20 years we have been operating from our day centre hub at 12 Adelaide Street in central Westminster (known as the ’big red door’ by locals).
The centre offers people who are sleeping rough respite from life on the street, providing nutritious meals, showers, shelter and support - working with people as they progress away from life on the streets and towards a home to call their own.
The equivalent of 7 out of 10 people sleeping rough in Westminster were supported by The Connection last year, showing our work is needed now more than ever.
Many of the people who we work with at The Connection start their engagement with a hot meal, a shower or by doing a load of laundry.
This is where our relationship with them begins, and as we deepen this relationship and build trust, we can encourage take up of other on-site services, such as;
• IT facilities and phone charging
• Doctors’ clinic
• Dentistry
• Hairdressers
• Nurses clinic for general health care
• Drug & alcohol support services
• Counselling
• Podiatry
• Key work
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
