Hike with us to help London hearts survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest

On the 8th of September, we are thrilled to host our first sponsored walk, the London Life Hike.

Embark on a 5km or 20km self-guided walk through the beating heart of London.

Support today and be a part of something special as we raise vital funds to help communities by teaching Londoners the lifesaving skills of CPR and ensuring they have access to public-access defibrillators.

The event will feature a vibrant event village at the start and finish points, located at the iconic bandstand in Battersea Park. This will be a fantastic opportunity for communities to come together and enjoy a day of walking, learning, and fun. We will offer CPR and defibrillator training at the start site, along with educational activities for children, the LAS historical ambulance collection and much more!

Event details are as follows:

Who is invited: Members of the public, our patients and staff – you can take part as an individual, with friends or family, or even make a team!

What: Complete a fundraising 5km or 20km walk through London, taking in the sights and landmarks of our iconic city.

When: Sunday 8 September 2024 (arrival for 10.30am, first wave starts at 11am for those doing the 20 km route, and arrival for 12:30pm, first wave starts at 13:00 for those doing the 5km route). Please allow time to register on arrival 

Where: The Bandstand in the middle of Battersea Park (start and end; map here)

Why: With every penny raised by your fundraising, you’ll be supporting life-saving care in the capital. This includes initiatives in local communities, such as teaching Londoners CPR, particularly young people, and funding more community public-access defibrillators in areas where they're most needed.   

Cost: £10 registration fee for adults, £5 for children aged 6-18, £25 for a family or group of two adults and two children). Under 5s are free to register, but please do let us know who is attending by registering all of your guests.

We’d like you to support this event in whatever way that you can. It would be incredible if our participants could aim to raise £100 in sponsorship, and those that do will get a London Life Hike event T-shirt to wear on the day. Your fundraising will help our teams to save even more lives in the capital.
