Organised by The Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS CharityThis appeal is raising funds for the new maternity unit and to refurbish the Ante - natal clinics and ultrasound unit. We aim for all maternity areas to have a unique look supporting families to have wonderful birthing experiences.
The Little Feet Appeal
The team at Luton & Dunstable Hospital are so excited for this appeal. The team get to really make a difference for patients and will mould how they want their new unit to look and how patients feel when having their baby.
We are looking to add in all the features in the new maternity garden, from a foot shaped seater, to plants, lighting and even some calming music!
We also aim to add in mood lighting for when you get time to snuggle with your new born after delivery, and some artwork which may help you focus whilst in delivery.
Artwork will be a theme running throughout the new unit and across the wards as we make the walls look less drab and more homely.
We then will look to support the services staying in their existing home to make the unit feel as one.
The maternity team have raised so much for this appeal from Cake Sales, Music Concerts and bingo nights. We have almost hit our first target of £125,070 with only £25,107 to raise before we move onto our next target of £44,000 for the existing unit.
