The Lions Clubs of six local towns Alsager, Buxton, Congleton, Knutsford, Macclesfield and Vale Royal, have joined forces to help fight cancer and raise funds for the new Christie hospital in Macclesfield due to come on stream in early 2022. Our Pride of Lions Clubs want to raise £10K and we are asking you to run or walk a virtual 10k to raise money to fund the construction of a consulting room at their new hospital.

We need you to run or walk a virtual 10k distance anywhere and at your own pace to support The Christie. To register you need to donate first then sign up at the Macclesfield Rundamentalist Run Club website who are kindly helping us organise this virtual run or walk along with the main sponsors Cheshire Cheese Company. There is a minimum £10.00 entry or sign up as a family entry for £30.00 and all of those taking part will receive a medal. Please donate as much as you can and please try to raise more funds with your own Just Giving page or by downloading a sponsorship form from the website here .

Run or walk your 10K between the 19th and the 27th of June, record your 10K on a smart phone, watch, or Strava and submit your results this link will be sent via email close to the event start.

The Club Runners out there can choose to be listed on the leader boards and we predict strong competition across the six towns for the top slots! Once you have submitted your proof you will be sent your medal and you will be entered into the amazing prize draw for a chance to win one of the many generous gifts.
