Story
Lindsay Zubeck was diagnosed with ocular melanoma in 2017, and from that moment she became one of the most powerful and passionate advocates the OM community has ever known. What began as her own diagnosis quickly grew into a mission to lift others, to fight for better treatments and to bring hope to families who needed it most. She raised critical funds for research, stood on Capitol Hill demanding progress and made sure that the OM community was never overlooked or forgotten. Her determination was fierce, steady and full of purpose.
Yet Lindsay’s advocacy is only part of her story. She led with love. She radiated joy. She had a presence that could turn any gathering into something unforgettable. She was the life of the party and the heart of the moment, no matter where she was. Patients across the country found courage because she shared hers so openly. She inspired others to believe in tomorrow simply by the way she lived today.
Lindsay’s family was at the center of everything she did. She is survived by her husband Paul and their children Cannon, Connelly and Caden. Their devotion, their strength and the way they walked beside her amplified every piece of her impact. Together, the Zubeck family gave this community their time, their hearts and their story, lifting countless families through their generosity and unwavering love.
Just weeks before her passing, Lindsay shared a poem that captured the kind of hope she believed in. Not the delicate kind, but the fierce kind that survives in difficult places and keeps going no matter what. Those words resonated deeply with her because she embodied that kind of hope every single day. She lived it. She shared it. She passed it on.
Lindsay’s legacy lives in the joy she brought, the comfort she offered, the determination she carried and the countless lives she touched. Her laughter, her spirit and her unforgettable light continue to ripple outward in ways that will never fade.
Today, in memory of Lindsay, please donate to carry forward the work she cared about so deeply. Your support helps advance research, expand treatment options and bring hope to every family facing ocular melanoma.
Her love lives on. Her light lives on. Her legacy will forever guide this community she helped shape.
