Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and our mission! Likkle Swimmers runs a summer program every year, teaching children from 3 months to adults and so far we have taught over 1,000 children and adults to swim. All of these lessons are completely free to anyone wishing to join in.

In 2024, Treasure Beach was hit by a hurricane and then again in 2025 by another hurricane. We need your help to repair the pool, and rebuild our program so that we can deliver in 2026.

You could be part of the reason for putting many smiles on 100's of childrens faces this summer...

A little bit of back story...

Likkle Swimmers started in 2017, after a friends partner drowned saving his 4 year old son in Treasure Beach. Charlotte is a keen swimmer and realised that so few people in the community could swim due to such little safe access to water, and a consequence was the number of lives the village had lost to the ocean. Realising this was a life-saving skill she could offer to the community, she decided to set up a charity and provide access to a local pool, funded by UNICEF.

The purpose of Likkle Swimmers is to provide free swimming lessons in a safe environment. The children will not only learn a skill that will save lives, but in doing so will also improve their self-confidence and independence, thereby benefiting the wider community. We want to take away the fear of water, and create fun!

Your donation will help towards:

-employing local Jamaicans as swim teachers, and pool assistants

-offering free transport to all children in the Treasure Beach area to and from their lessons, and employing drivers

-providing each child that swims with us a pair of shorts or swimming costume

-making sure that the children have access to all the swim equipment they need such as floats, goggles, swim caps, toys

-providing a t shirt to every child that takes part

-helping towards our very important maintenance costs of the pool to keep it safe for everyone

-helping towards first aid and lifesaving equipment so we can teach the community even further

-contributing towards our 10 year party for the community

but most of all, rebuilding the pool!
